Zoom Room là gì?

Ta có thể nói rằng, Zoom Meeting là sản phẩm cốt lõi của Zoom. Người dùng có thể tham gia vào các cuộc họp trực tuyến nếu như có phần mềm Zoom Video Conferencing được cài đặt vào máy tính hoặc thiết bị di động. Họ có thể tham gia vào phòng họp ở những địa điểm khác nhau, bất kể là ở nhà, trong phòng hội nghị, văn phòng hay trên chính điện thoại di động của họ

4. Phòng họp trực tuyến truyền thống có sẵn

Với các phòng họp trực tuyến có sẵn của doanh nghiệp đang sử dụng các thiết bị phần cứng theo truyền thống như Polycom, Cisco/Tandberg, Avaya Scopia…, có thể kết nối và tham gia vào các phiên họp cùng hệ thống phòng họp Zoom bằng giao thức SIP/H.323. Yêu cầu để kết nối như sau:

Overview

The Waiting Room feature allows the host to control when a participant joins the meeting. As the meeting host, you can admit attendees one by one, or hold all attendees in the Waiting Room and admit them all at once. You can send all participants to the Waiting Room when joining your meeting, or you can allow participants from your Zoom account and participants with specified domains to bypass the Waiting Room. As the host, you can also choose to automatically move participants to the Waiting Room while a meeting is in progress if you lose connection from the meeting.

Participants will see the following screen when joining a meeting with Waiting Room enabled:

Limitations

If the Waiting Room is enabled and set to capture all incoming participants, join before host will not work for that meeting. You can set internal account members or participants with a specific domain to bypass the Waiting Room. 

Webinars do not support Waiting Room. Use a webinar practice session as an alternative.

The Waiting Room is disabled by default for instant meetings and Zoom Phone calls elevated to a meeting. You can only enable Waiting Room for these meetings using the Security option in your in-meeting controls.

Enabling Waiting Room

You can enable Waiting Room for scheduled meetings.

Account

To enable Waiting Room for all users in the account:

Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit account settings.

Under Security, verify that Waiting Room is enabled.

Group

To enable Waiting Room for all members of a specific group:

Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit groups.

Under Security, verify that Waiting Room is enabled.

User

To enable Waiting Room for your own use:

Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

Under Security, verify that Waiting Room is enabled.

Note: If the Waiting Room has been previously customized at the user level then disabled after, when Waiting Room is enabled in a meeting’s settings, the meeting will use the user-level setting until it has been reset, or the account setting has been locked. 

Who should go into the waiting room?

Everyone: All participants joining your meeting will be admitted to the Waiting Room. 

Users not in your account: Only participants who are not on your Zoom account or are not signed in will be admitted to the Waiting Room. If not signed in, they will have an option to sign in. 

Users who are not in your account and not part of the allowed list: Users who are on your account or signed in to a Zoom account at the domains you list will bypass the Waiting Room. After selecting this option, enter the domains, separating multiple domains by a comma.

Users invited during the meeting by the host or co-hosts will bypass the waiting room: Users that the host or co-host invited during the meeting will by pass the Waiting Room. This applies to users invited directly through Zoom during a meeting or users invited by phone.Note: This setting doesn’t apply to inviting a Zoom Room or room system. The invited room will always be placed in the Waiting Room. Live assistants who join meetings via the dashboard or administrators using a web-based controller are also exempt from these settings. 

Who can admit participants from the waiting room?

Note: If Users not in your account or Users who are not in your account and not part of the allowed list is selected, you can specify who can admit participants that are in the Waiting Room.

Host and co-hosts only: Only the host and co-hosts can admit participants that are in the Waiting Room.

Host, co-hosts, and anyone who bypassed the waiting room (only if host and co-hosts are not present): Only the following people can admit participants that are in the Waiting Room.

Participants are bypassed the Waiting Room (they can only admit other participants if the host and co-hosts are not in the meeting)

If the host and co-hosts are not present or if they lose connection during a meeting

Select the check box to move participants to the Waiting Room if the host drops from the meeting unexpectedly. If you select this option, join before host will be disabled.

Customizing the Waiting Room

You can customize the Waiting Room title, logo, and description at an account, group, or user level.

Note: You will need to enable Waiting Room before you have the option to customize it. If the Waiting Room has been previously customized at the user level then disabled after, when Waiting Room is enabled in a meeting’s settings, the meeting will use the user-level setting until it has been reset, or the account setting has been locked.

Overview

The Zoom Rooms controller lets you choose the video layout that displays on Zoom Rooms screens. In Zoom Rooms with one screen, tap Change View on the controller to choose the layout. In Zoom Rooms with multiple screens, toggle the icon to switch between Active Speaker and Gallery views.

Active Speaker View

Active Speaker View displays a large view of the person currently speaking, with a smaller thumbnail of the previous speaker as a picture-within-picture. During screen sharing, the shared screen is in the large display and the thumbnail shows the person who is sharing. This view includes an Advanced option, where you can choose the size and location of the thumbnail, or choose to display the active speaker or shared screen without a thumbnail.

Thumbnail combines the Speaker view with a scaled down version of the Gallery view. A small strip of thumbnails, showing up to 8 participants, displays beneath a relatively larger view of the active speaker. The thumbnails show the participants who were most recently the active speakers. This view is only available in Zoom Rooms that have a single screen.

Gallery View

Gallery View displays up to 25 participants per screen by default or up to 49 participants per screen if enabled in the settings. The active speaker is highlighted in Gallery View. If there are more than participants than the per-screen limit, an arrow displays next to the icon. Tap the right arrow to display the next group of participants on the screen, and tap the left arrow to display the previous set. This view is not available in a Zoom Room with one screen when screen sharing is active.

To choose the display layout for a room with ones screen:

Start or join a meeting.

Tap Change View.

Tap the icon with the view you want to display.

If a participant is sharing their screen, Tap Options below Change View for these layout options:

To move the floating video to a different location, tap the corner you want it to display in.

Off: Remove the floating video.

Normal: Change the floating video to its original size.

Enlarge 2x: Increase the size of the floating video.

Swap Content: Swap the shared screen and participant’s video between the floating video and the main screen.

If a participant is sharing their screen, Tap Options below Change View for these layout options:

Zoom Rooms with multiple screens

Note: Thumbnail view is not available in rooms with multiple screens.

In Zoom Rooms with two or three displays, the display settings for the each screen are customized by the Zoom Rooms administrator. What you see on each screen depends on the number of participants and whether anyone is sharing a screen.

Each screen might be configured to display any of the following:

Gallery View

Active Speaker View

If a screen is configured to show either Gallery view or Speaker view, you can toggle between these views while the meeting is in progress. Chúng tôi đang tập trung nhiều nguồn nhân lực trong công ty để tập trung vào liên lạc riêng tư và các nền tảng xã hội riêng tư, thay vì chỉ tập trung vào các nền tảng truyền thống rộng lớn hơn. Nhiều công cụ họp và gọi điện trực tuyến cũng đã có sự phát triển bùng nổ trong thời gian qua, chẳng hạn Zoom đã có sự tăng trưởng từ 10 triệu người dùng trong tháng 12/2019 lên mức 300 triệu người dùng ở thời điểm hiện tại. Houseparty, ứng dụng gọi điện trực tuyến với bạn bè cũng đã thu hút được hơn 50 triệu người dùng vào tháng trước và trở thành một trong những ứng dụng liên lạc trực tuyến có tốc độ phát triển nhanh nhất hiện nay.

Sự phát triển nhanh chóng của những công cụ kết nối và liên lạc qua Internet luôn là một mối lo ngại với Facebook, do vậy, mạng xã hội lớn nhất hành tinh luôn tìm những giải pháp để mua lại các đối thủ cạnh tranh hoặc sao chép các tính năng nổi bật của những công cụ này.

Trong đó, tính năng hội nghị trực tuyến Messenger Rooms được xem là câu trả lời của Facebook đối với Zoom. Facebook cho biết tính năng mới của mình sẽ cho phép người dùng tạo được phòng họp trực tuyến với số người tham gia tối đa lên đến 50. Những người chủ phòng họp có thể quyết định mở cửa công khai để mọi người đều có thể tham gia hoặc chỉ dành riêng cho những người được mời.

Mặc dù các cuộc gọi thông qua Messenger Rooms không được mã hóa đầu cuối, Facebook nhấn mạnh rằng hãng sẽ không theo dõi các nội dung cuộc họp trên Rooms. Những người chủ phòng họp có thể loại bỏ những khách tham gia bất cứ lúc nào và có thể báo cáo lên Facebook nếu phát hiện thấy các hành vi bất thường xuyên hiện trên Rooms.

Khi tham gia vào phòng họp trên Rooms, người dùng có thể sử dụng các bộ lọc tăng cường thực tế ảo để giúp không gian phòng họp trở nên sáng sủa hơn hoặc người dùng có thể thay đổi phông nền phía sau lưng mình bằng những phông nền ảo tự chọn.

Facebook cho biết Messenger Rooms sẽ được trang bị đến người dùng tại một số quốc gia ngay từ hôm nay và trên toàn cầu trong một vài tuần tới. Người dùng có thể kích hoạt tính năng này từ Facebook hoặc Messenger. Sau khi được trang bị cho Facebook, Rooms cũng sẽ được trang bị cho cả Instagram Direct (tính năng chat của Instagram), WhatsApp và Portal (màn hình thông minh của Facebook). Người dùng có thể tham gia vào các cuộc họp trên Rooms ở bất cứ thiết bị nào, miễn là có tài khoản Facebook.

Với ứng dụng nhắn tin và gọi điện miễn phí WhatsApp, Facebook cũng đã cải thiện tính năng gọi điện video trên ứng dụng này, khi nâng số người tối đa có thể cùng tham gia vào cuộc gọi video lên 8 người, thay vì chỉ 4 người như trước đây.

Với mạng xã hội Instagram, Facebook cũng bổ sung các tính năng mới như cho phép người dùng chia sẻ các nội dung phát trực tiếp lên IGTV cũng như Instagram stories sau khi họ đã hoàn tất buổi phát trực tiếp, điều này cho phép xem lại các nội dung đã phát trực tiếp trên Instagram khi cần. Tính năng phát trực tiếp của Instagram cũng lần đầu tiên được trang bị cho người dùng máy tính, thay vì chỉ dành cho người dùng di động như trước đây.

Với người dùng đang sở hữu màn hình thông minh Portal của Facebook, họ cũng có thể phát các nội dung trực tiếp lên các trang và group mình đang tham gia. Trước đó, người dùng Portal chỉ được phép phát trực tiếp trên trang cá nhân của mình.
